The Decatur (Alabama) Amateur Radio Club was founded in 1953. We provide SkyWarn support and emergency communications support to our county EMA.
Our biggest event of the year is Field Day, but we also support the Boy Scouts (JOTA) and other groups needing communications assistance.
We meet monthly on the first Tuesday at the Morgan County Courthouse. We have a quarterly "eating meeting" at a local restaurant in lieu of the courthouse meeting. See our website for details.
We have been providing license testing on the first Saturday of each month at the Decatur Library. We can also provide testing by appointment.
