A request to all PSK contest operator. Would you be so kind as to remember that the QRG of 14.076 is the only spot frequency on the 14 Mhz band which is used by JT65 operators. During the recent (May 2012) PSK contest it was totally unusable due to PSK interference. JT65 is a VERY low power mode and frequently cannot be heard by the human ear, so not hearing anything does NOT mean the QRG is vacant. I hope the users of other digital modes (e.g. RTTY) are also aware of this. Enjoy your contests but please be aware. |
