Surfin': Where's DX?
If you want to add new DXCC "countries" to your DX portfolio, chances are that you might miss something if you just tune up and down the bands, hoping that something new might come your way.
Using that random tuning strategy, you might miss something like a DXpedition, that is, a road trip to a rare country. You don't want to miss a DXpedition because DXpeditions to some of the rarer countries do not occur often. The next DXpedition to that rare one you need might not occur until the next sunspot cycle or later.
So, if you are serious about working new DXCC entities, you need to know when the DXpeditions will be on the air.
Where on the Internet can you find a list of current and upcoming DXpeditions?
Try the following:
- Announced DX Operations Web page at NG3K.com.
- Expedition PR Web page at the DX World of Ham Radio.
- Upcoming DXpedition Map at N0HR.com
Thank you Zack Lau, W1VT, for suggesting this week's topic.
Until next time, good DX and keep on surfin'!
