This week's bulletin was made possible with information provided by
Frank, AH0W/OH2LVG, Tedd, KB8NW, the Yankee Clipper Contest Club

of QST magazine. Thanks to all.
SOUTH GEORGIA ISLAND. Al, WA3YVN, Jan, WA4VQD, and Vince, K5VT, are
on the air from Grytviken signing VP8SGP. Activity should last
until January 20. They will operate on all bands, though
concentrating on CW and the low bands. For CW try 1826, 3504, 3522,
7004, 7022, 10104, 14024, 18074, 21024, 24894 and 28024 kHz. On SSB
listen around 1845, 3785, 7065, 14195, 18145, 21295, 24945 and 28475
kHz. RTTY action should be near 3580, 7040, 14080, 21080 and 28080
kHz. QSL via INDEXA, POB 5127, Suffolk, VA 23435.
LIBYA. Europeans have reported hearing a station signing F5HV/5A or
5A/F5HV/M on 14120 and 14140 kHz. The operator gave his name as
Jacques and said to QSL via F5PFP. He was also heard to say he had
no license. No documentation has been received by the DXCC Desk for
this one.
TONGA. Paul, KK6H, will be active as A35RK until February 7, with
most operating on CW between 160 and 30 meters. He was heard this
past week on 40 meter CW around 0700z and again at 1130z. Paul was
also heard briefly on 15 meters. QSL via KK6H.
TAIWAN. Gregg, WA6IZT, will sign BV/WA6IZT from January 14 to 17,
mostly with CW on the low bands. He will try to be on each day from
1100 to 1500z to work North America. Listen around 3505, 7005,
14005 kHz. QSL via WA6IZT, 1994 CBA or later.
MARKET REEF. Pete, N0AFW, may be visiting here if transportation
can be arranged and the weather permits. Listen for OJ0/N0AFW on
the lower bands until about January 15.
CENTRAL KIRIBATI. Nobert, DF6FK, and Judith, DL2ZAD, signing T31BB
and T31BA, respectively, will be closing down operations from Canton
Island on January 15. T31BB was heard 3803 kHz around 1307z. QSL
via CBA or bureau.
HONG KONG. Mike, VS6WV, now has antennas up for 160 and 80 meters.
He suggests trying 1829 to 1832 and 3506 kHz as these are clear
frequencies for him to listen on. Try 80 meters from 1130z on.
EAST MALAYSIA AND NORTHERN MARIANAS. Frank, AH0W/OH2LVG, will be
active in early March from the Northern Marianas/Saipan, including a
single-op entry in the ARRL SSB DX Contest as AH0W. He will stop
for a few days on business in Malaysia and activate East Malaysia,
9M8. Both operations will concentrate on low bands, 20 meters and
WARC. QSL via KE7LZ.
GUATEMALA. Jack, KE4LWT, will start operating sometime in late
January or early February and hopefully be active through the middle
of June. No call sign has been issued yet. Listen for Jack between
0000 and 0600z in the US novice sub-bands, especially 80 and 40
meters.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. Rules for the Hunting Lions in the Air,
North American QSO Party CW and the Northwest QRP Club Winter Sprint
are on page 127 of January QST. Info on the Meet the Novices and
Technicians Day, HA-DX and Midwinter contests appear in December QST
on page 123.
The 1995 Japan International DX CW ''Low Bands'' contest starts at
2200z January 13 and runs to 2200z January 15. Operate on 160, 80
and 40 meters only. The contest exchange is RST and CQ zone.
Japanese stations will send RST and JARL Prefecture number. For
