Description:

There is a half hour social hour starting at 7 PM (before the club meeting).  Please join us in these casual conversations.   Greetings from our President   Thank you for visiting North Fulton Amateur Radio League’s ARRL club site.   NFARL is a very active club committed to promoting amateur radio and has a strong affiliation with ARRL, the most influential leader in amateur radio. This club has won many honors over the years due to the active participation of its members. Currently the club has more than 300 members with various types of licenses and backgrounds. NFARL members are dedicated to promoting youth programs leading to success as a ham and successful careers in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) industries. We have mentors (Elmers) who are willing to help anyone gain Ham Radio experience.   We have special events throughout the year including: --> Ham Jam. This event is specifically for raising funds for our youth programs. We have excellent speakers and give away thousands of dollars in prizes. --> Field Day. This is the largest ARRL event of the year for Amateur Radio. It is held the fourth weekend in June. It is a 24 hour program where participants set up total communications as they would be required in an emergency. It includes all aspects of amateur radio from antenna construction to radio operation. It is a wonderful experience. --> VE testing. This license testing is done once per month. --> Georgia QSO Party. An amateur radio operating event. The object of this competition is for amateur radio operators outside of Georgia to make on the air contacts with stations located inside the state of Georgia --> eNews. This is our monthly publication which has club information and member-submitted articles on special topics related to ham radio.
